Introduction to Basic Technology (IBT)
The School curriculum is only based on text books. Children need to gain day to day practical knowledge and develop practical skills. Brain needs stimulation and creativity should be enhanced.
In 2006 RSGS started IBT course first of its kind in Mulshi under Swami Vivekanand Vidyalaya. Designed for 8th to 10th grade with following objectives: learning while doing, developing a work culture, delivery channel for technology & enabling to plan a career. Four disciplines covered: Engineering, Energy & Environment, Agriculture & Home Science.
Students have Made & Sold more than 1000 trophies, Vegetables are grown in Training Farm using Organic farming technique, General repair work in the School is undertaken, Villagers are helped with Handy jobs like welding, carpentry, minor electrical & plumbing.
